Kyrenia Diving Centre - Dive Sites
Experience the calm, warm waters of the Mediterranean. A natural habitat for many species of fish
including sting ray, amber jack, scorpion, bream, groupers, cuckoo wrasse, corb and many other rare
species. Underwater rocky terrain provides the ideal hideout for octopus and moray eel. You may even
see the odd turtle, as well as colourful sponges, soft coral and relics of the past such as amphorae.
- LARA: Depth 9m - 32m
This dive site is made up of a twin peak underwater mountain with its summit at 9m. It is
surrounded by massive rocks and spectacular underwater formations.
- Hz OMER: Depth 14m - 22m
This site consists of a very long rocky reef running parallel to the shore, ideal for
drift diving.
- IZCI: Depth 16m - 20m
Two parallel reefs, home for large groupers which will accompany divers during their dive.
- ANCIENT SHIPWRECK: Depth 30m
The second oldest shipwreck ever discovered, you will travel back in time to 300 BC. Before
diving this site you should visit the Shipwreck Museum at the Kyrenia Castle.
- FRED: Depth 17m - 27m
Diving at Fred's reef will be one of the most thrilling dives. You will meet Fred, the
golden sea perch, and her entire family. Photograph and feed these wild creatures yourself.
- DOME ANCHOR AND WRECK: Depth 18m - 22m
Two parallel reefs - on one lies a massive old anchor with its chain attached. Nearby there
also lies the cockpit from an Istanbul Airlines jet.
- MANSINI: Depth 14m - 30m
A very large reef with gigantic rocks scattered around it. You will see some spectacular
underwater formations and schools of groupers.
- BAMBI: Depth 12m - 14m
A large reef with a cave textured with coral and inhabited by large groupers.
- ZEPHYROS: Depth 18m - 30m
A large reef with a wall drop off from 18m to 30m. The wall is covered with colourful sponges.
A very large old anchor is wedged under one of the massive rocks which are scattered around
the reef.
- ZEPHYROS II: Depth 38m
For experienced divers, an exhilarating dive with a variety of marine life.
- ZEPHYROS III: Depth 18m
A relaxing afternoon dive.
- MARE MONTE: Depth 18m
An underwater rocky terrain providing the ideal hideout for a multitude of marine life.
- MAREMONTE ISLAND: Depth 14m
There are plenty of holes to be examined on the rocky bottom by curious divers.
- PINOCCHIO: Depth 14m - 26m
The ideal dive site for multi-level diving.
- RITA: Depth 12m
A huge anchor wedges between the rocks, with broken pieces of amphora scattered around.
- LEFKE WRECK: Depth 16m
Diving at Lefke, you will experience scenes of the sunken copper barges - colonised by many
forms of marine life, the largest vessel reaches a length of 30m. You will also experience
scenes of the ancient harbour and scattered remains of amphorae.
